Stamp
description:
This is the the first thing I made. It is a heart stamp. the handle somewhat resembles a tear drop so its easy to hold and easy to apply pressure when stamping. It should leave a heart shape when stamped.

reflection:
I am not happy with this pice. I think it is not pretty and not as functional as I wanted it to be. If I wear to make another stamp I would make sure it looked clean and was even all around. as well as not having sharp edges.
why it did not get finished:
This stamp did not get far because I think it is ugly so I felt no need to paint and glaze it.
Face
Description:
I wanted to make the face very structured, it has sharp cheek bones and eyes that pop out. His lips protrude out being the main focus on this project.

Reflection:
I really liked this piece and thought I did a good job. I liked how funny it looked and the way I structured the face. I was very excited to give this to a family member for Christmas and think my grandpa would have loved it. Overall was very happy with it.

why it did not get finished:
Sadly when I was walking to put it up to get fired for the first time, I bumped a table and it fell face first on the ground. there was no saving it, all the facial features were smashed.

underglaze design
Description:
This is a plate that has a heart in the middle. I slipped and scored the heart on. the plate has a wavy purple design on it. I used a other plate for this plate so that the shape looks good.

reflection:
I was somewhat happy with this peice. I deffenty could have done things differently. the lines are not neat so that's definitely something I would change next time.

Why it did not get finished:
It did not get finished because the heart fell off and I was not very happy with it at the time so I just gave up.
double pinch pot

Description:
This pot has a cream white base and dark purple inside. There are dragon fly on it as well as flowers. At the bottom there is a ring around it in the same color that the inside is to tie it together. The pot is better deep and will fit a very pretty plant.

Reflection:
this pot was initially made to be a jar that held sugar but the lid I was trying to do kept breaking. The original design was so cute and I wish it worked out. it has a coral handle and was going to be sea themed. Although my original idea did not work I am very happy with this peice. I think its perfect for my mom and the garden we have at home. the dragon Fly's are my favorite part. if I were to make this again I would try and be cleaner with my lines. overall this is my favorite thing I've made so far.
Historically inspired- cross

Desciption:
This cross was supposed to be a thing to hang up on a wall. I did not get very far on it so i don't have a lot to describe. I seriously redid this cross 5 times.

Reflection:
I really wished this worked out and I think I will try again another time. Every time it would dry it would crack and I think that's because it dried to fast. I wished it worked and I will be trying agin for a choice project.

Why it did not get finished:
It cracked everytime it would dry and that was 5 times, so after that I decided I just have to come back to it later. but I am going to try again.
Small Animal Sculpture
Description:
This is a mini lady, I rolled out a tiny ball of clay first and then lightly flattened it out to created the body. I then rolled out another ball that was smaller then the first to create the head, I did the same process of fattening it out. I slipped and scored the head onto the body and pained it from there.
Reflection:
Overall I am super happy with it. I think it is super cute and the perfect thing for my mom since my nickname she gave me is ladybug. I enjoyed making this since it was simple yet cute. I really want to make more tiny bugs so my mom can put them in her garden. The colors came out good and vibrant. The one thing I would do differently next time is spend a little more time painting it. The line is a tiny bit off center and a little to thick and the black spots are somewhat messy and there are to many of them, so next time I would just spend extra time to make sure it is neat and tidy. Overall I love it and think it is really cute.
